Senior Homes Christmas Project

Each year TJWC members adopt one or two assisted living/nursing homes for a "Giving Tree."  Members purchase Christmas gifts for elderly residents based on a list of their likes, sizes, needs, etc.  For many of these seniors, this will be their only holiday gift.

Evening Story Hour at the Tunkhannock Public Library

The Tunkhannock Public Library is the host of the TJWC Evening Story Hour for the children in our community.  Children of any age are welcome to attend the event which features a story and craft to take home.  The event is organized and run by TJWC members and the theme is always different. 

Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen

The Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen, located in downtown Tunkhannock, provides a much needed service to members of our community.  In addition to a monetary donation, we feel it is important to give of our time in service of our neighbors.  Once a year, members have the opportunity to volunteer to prepare, serve and clean up after a meal at the the soup kitchen.

Library Book Sale

TJWC members are given the opportunity to volunteer at the Tunkhannock Public Library's Book Sale, which happens twice each year.
